May 15, 2022 Bud Meyer Black Powder Silhouette Shoot
Weather started out a bit misty with some moisture in the air, but wound up nice and sunny at the end. Temperatures were mild. We had a good turnout of 14 shooters including a new flintlock competitor. Quite a few brought out guns that had not been used for some time (meaning years) so many scores were unusually low.
We had a number of tied scores, as always, they are broken by the number of Bears shot, followed by the longest string of Bears shot and so on. Bears shot were the deciding factor in these ties.
Rob Freeman shot a terrific 27 to win the match and the first place bullet competitor. Only missing 3 targets all day.
Bob Bloyer turned in his usual great performance with his flintlock to win the 1st place round ball prize.
Corinne is obviously keeping a closer eye on Mike when he loads her ammo these days as she has once again come out ahead of him.
Thanks to all for helping with the targets and to Mike and Corinne for the prizes.
Next match is June 19th on our usual Sunday.
